LIVE MUSIC Friday and Saturday Nights.

The Methow Valley has two of the best Farmers Markets in the state. With so much produce grown right in the Methow coupled with a very strong arts & crafts scene both markets should not be missed. Take home the taste of the Methow!

The Methow Valley Farmers Market is in Twisp (9 miles south of Winthrop) on Saturdays from 9:00am - 12:00pm April - October.

Sunday, catch the Winthrop Market from 10:00am - 2:00pm in the beautiful, shaded Winthrop Park. The market runs from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Visit the Winthrop Market Page to learn more and to get a vendor application.

FEBRUARY 18-19th 2017

The Winthrop Snowshoe Softball tournament is a popular annual winter-time event sponsored by the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce and Three Fingered Jack’s Saloon. Now in its third decade, this tournament is held every February on the three-day President’s Day weekend.

The Winthrop Balloon Festival is an incredible visual display as dozens of hot air balloons fly over the old western town of Winthrop and the snow-capped mountains of the North Cascades. FOR TOURS: For more information for daily events please go to:

Winthrop R&B Festival. July 21st-23rd

The Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival is a three-day event packed full of exciting national and regional entertainment for all ages. There is on site camping, food and craft vendors, portable showers, and a beer garden.

Chamber Music Festival, July 27 - August 5, 2017

Come join us in the beautiful Methow Valley this summer. Enjoy evenings rich with superb musical peformances, complemented by local wines, beers, and hors d’oeuvres, and framed by golden sunsets over the Cascade mountains. Each concert evening begins with a community social hour and ends with a heartwarming Afterglow where you can meet the musicians. Five Centerstage performances will take place at Signal Hill Ranch near Winthrop. Grounds open at 6:00 PM on concert nights, with local food, beer and wine available for purchase. The 42nd annual Winthrop Vintage Wheels show! A celebration of style showcasing automobiles, motorcycles, tractors, travel trailers, pedal cars and bicycles all against the backdrop of the old west town of Winthrop. Got classy wheels? We would love to have you join our show!

Christmas at the End of The Road Winthrop’s Kick-off to Christmas Activities

An Old Fashioned Cowboy Christmas!
Join us for a weekend of holiday spirit in true Western tradition.

This magical holiday celebration begins Thanksgiving weekend and marks the beginning of the Christmas season for the Methow Valley citizens and its many visitors. Family and friends come from afar to join in and share this wondrous time of year.



2-4 pm - Storytelling at the Trail’s End Bookstore with Granny Winthrop Cost: Free
5-6 pm - Night Hot Air Balloon Glow by Morning Glory Balloon Tours Cost: Free


10am - End of the Road 5K Run and 1K Kids Fun Run.

Early registration Friday from 10am- 6pm at Cascades Outdoor Store or day of race from 9am-9:45am at the Winthrop Ice Rink. Cost is $5 for the 5k, $1 for the 1K with proceeds benefiting the Winthrop Chamber. Race starts at 10am from the Winthrop Ice Rink and ends at the Ice Rink.
12 pm - Santa Arrives downtown on Riverside Avenue
1-4 pm - Children’s Winter Fest (at the Barn).
